Captivating.
The goal of social media and publicity is to captivate - to generate interest in important information, events, or ideas.
The Wing followed this idea, promoting school events uniquely through presenting information in a visually appealing, informative and concise manner. The Wing featured social media posts that were put up on the school accounts along with posters around the school. It was an initiative under the Visions Committee responsible for media.
Here, I have included a collection of designs that I had made or collaborated on as part of The Wing.
Sporting Carnival Information
These were colour coded to the event, posted on Instagram as posts and stories.

Cross Country animations:
Term Reminders
Stories and posts used to remind students when term began or ended. They were posted a week before term started or ended and reposted the day before term starts or ends.

General Alerts
Time-sensitive Instagram stories posted during lockdown or strikes to remind students of changing circumstances. Green represented school related reminders, while blue was for transport and red was for health. Government-specific posts had the NSW waratah subtly faded in the corner.

Showcase
Showcase posts and stories such as the graduation ceremony shown had a consistent design with the background colour and title font changing. The stories would link to a post with all the photos.

The 4U Paper
The 4U Paper was also posted on The Wing, including a story, post and posters for the edition, as well as a poster and Instagram post for each article in an edition. Each of these also included a consistent banner at the top of each post.

Study Music Initiative
Posters designed to promote a new study music playlists initiative.

Enrichment posters were made to promote clubs and committees across the school. They were also generally accompanied by social media posts.

Ultimately, The Wing initiative, with its focus on creating visually captivating designs and informative content, engaged the school community while providing me with valuable learning experiences in graphic design and media promotion, contributing to the success and impact of various events and initiatives.
